The flight from Metropolis to Smallville was albeit a quiet one. Lex and Chloe didn't know what to say to Brian; all they saw when they looked at him was Whitney Fordham. As they entered the maternity ward at Smallville Medical Center, they were ready for anything. Martha and Jonathan Kent exited Lois's room, noticing them automatically. Both of their faces turned from surprise to utter shock. Chloe walked up to Martha first, pulling her into another hallway to explain Brian, while Jonathan moved his way over to meet the young man.
"Hello, you must be Jonathan Kent." Brian stated softly, extending his hand to greet him.
"That I would be, and you are?" The blonde gent questioned back, shaking the young man's hand.
"I'm Brian Drake. How's my Lois doing?"
"She's good. She's been asking for you; you'd better go in there. She's in room 445."
"Alright, thank you. It was nice meeting you, Mr. Kent."
"Same to you, Brian."
As Brian rolled away toward Lois's room, Jonathan walked down the hallway with Lex.
"Am I seeing things, Lex, or was that just Whitney Fordham?" He questioned.
"It amazed us too, Jonathan. We didn't even know what to say to him, during the flight back here. It was crazy."
"What's Clark gonna say, when he sees him?"
"Clark...I didn't even think of him. All I was thinking about was..."
"Hey, you two," A familiar voice from behind them stated lightly. "Has Lois had the twins yet?"
"Lana. Hi, how are you?"
Lana strolled up to them arm-in-arm with Jason with a smile on her face.
"I'm good, Lex." She answered lightly, as she gave him a hug. "How's Lois?"
"Oh, she's fine. Her fiancee is here now with her." He replied.
"He's here? What's he like?"
"Oh, he's interesting; wouldn't you say so, Jonathan?"
"Oh, yeah, very interesting, Lex." Mr. Kent responded.
"Well, let's go and meet him." Lana answered, grabbed Jonathan's arm as he started back to Lois's room, leaving Jason behind.
"Jason, we need to talk about something." Lex stated to the younger man.
"Sure, Lex, what's up?" He answered.
"Brian Drake looks like someone we all know."
"What do you mean 'looks like'?"
"I mean, it's literally mesmerizing that this guy looks like someone who used to be alive and now is dead."
"Who is it?"
"Whitney Fordham."
"Are you serious?"
"Yes, I'm being very serious."
"So, you're saying that this Brian guy looks like Whitney, who has been dead for years, right?"
"Exactly right."
"And, Lana is going to see him, not knowing this fact, right?"
"Yeah."
"Great, this is just great, Lex. How could you not tell her?"
"Clark is going to be finding out as well. I haven't told him yet either."
"Now, that is your own problem. I'm not getting involved in your squabbles with your husband."
"Thanks a lot."
"Don't mention it. Now, lets see this guy and reassure both of our significant others that this dude isn't dead ol' Whitney."
Lex and Jason made their ways down to Lois's room, not knowing how everyone was reacting to Brian.

The two men entered the room, noticing that laughter emitting from it. The Kents, Lana, Clark, Chloe, Lois and Brian were talking about something hilarious. The smiles on their faces lit up the space, better than the lights ever could. Lex moved up behind Clark, putting his arms around his waist and placing his hand on the soft bump formed there. He kissed him softly on the neck, causing the younger man to smile lovingly.
"Where have you been?" Clark questioned softly.
"Jason and I had to talk...nothing major, sweetie." Lex answered, kissing him again.
"It better not be anything 'major'."
"It's not, don't worry. How's Lois feeling?"
"The doctor just did an ultrasound on her to check the twins' positions; they are now coming feet first. She's going to have a C-section."
"Maybe, its better that's she is having a C-section. Knowing her, I don't think she could handle the pain on natural childbirth."
"Hey! What are you two blabbing about over there?" Lois inquired loudly to them.
"We're talking about you, so what are you gonna do about?" Clark retorted sarcastically.
"When I am able to get out of this bed, Smallville, I will come over there and hurt you."
"Sure, Lois; I'll believe it, when I see it."
Lois rolled her eyes at him and went back to talking with Brian about the twins. An hour and a half later, a nurse and Lois's doctor, Dr. Samuels, arrived at the room, ready to prep her for surgery. Everyone cleared the space, letting the medical professionals do their jobs. After getting her prepped, they wheeled Lois out on a stretcher and moved her past the Kents, the Luthors, Jason, Lana, Chloe, and Brian. The nurse stopped the apparatus, letting everyone talk to Lois.
"Good luck in there, Lois." Lex stated to her. "And, don't worry; we'll keep Brian company, until the doctors are ready for him."
"Thanks, Lex. That means a lot coming from you. Just keep your husband safer, alright?" Lois replied.
"Hey, he's Clark; he'll keep me safe."
"Don't worry about anything, Lois. Just keep your mind on the prize: those twins inside of you that are going to be coming out in really soon." Clark retorted.
"I will, Smallville."
Martha and Jonathan moved up the young girl, smiling at her softly. Martha hugged her softly, wanting to take all of the pain she was feeling from her.
"You're gonna be alright, Lois." Martha spoke up. "You know that we love you."
"Thank you, Martha." She answered, feeling a tear forming in her eye. "We better stop hugging, or I'm gonna be crying."
"Alright, same here..."
Both women laughed, wiping their eyes, before she turned to see Mr. Kent standing before her. "Jonathan, keep everybody safe out here, okay?" Lois stated to him with a smile.
"You got it, Lois, and you keep those babies safe, alright?" He retorted to her, giving her a hug as well.
"Oh, I'll try; they are more protected than me right now, I think."
"You know, Lois...you are like a daughter to Martha and I. We are so proud of you right now."
"Oh, Jonathan, don't say that; you're gonna make her cry." Martha stated, smacking him in the arm.
"Too late for that," Lois answered. "I'm already tearing up."
As she wiped the tears from her face, she saw her cousin out of the corner of her eye.
"Chloe, get over here right now!" She practically shouted.
The short blonde scurried over to her and held her close, both trying not to cry.
"Oh, Chloe," she squeezed her cousin close as much as she could. "Can you keep the boys in line for me?"
"Duh, Lois...I already do that. No big deal there. You just remember to name one of the twins after me, alright?" Chloe answered softly.
"Yeah, sure, if I'm not too drugged up to say anything..."
"Oh, you will be; trust me, you'll enjoy it."
"Sure."
Letting her cousin go, Lois turned to her fiancee, who was anxiously waiting to talk with her. The look on his face said it all: he was scared for her, and if he could, he would try places with her and take away all of the pain.
"Brian, honey, don't be scared for me." She stated, placing her hand on his cheek, as a tear ran down it and under her fingers. "You'll see me in a little while, so don't worry."
"I know, babe, but I want to be with you every step of the way." He answered to her, trying to cry anymore.
"I know you do, hun, and you will, once they get me prepped in there. I don't want you fainting on me, alright?"
"Alright, babe; I'll see you in there."
Soon after that, the nurse from before came up and told everyone that it was time for Lois to leave. They said their goodbyes and she was rolled down the operating room ready to have the babies. Moments later, Brian went into the room to be with her.

A couple of hours later after Brian left the waiting room to be with Lois, he returned to the space with a big smile on his face and his digital camera full of pictures sitting on his lap.
"Hey, everybody..." He spoke up lightly. "Are you ready to see pictures of the babies?"
Everybody cheered and moved themselves around the wheelchair-bound new father and his camera.
"Everyone ready to see them?" He turned on his camera and showed the group the first picture. "Here they are."
They saw the innocent faces of the twins and everyone's heart melted.
"What are their names, Brian?" Martha wondered lightly.
"Well, Baby A, who has no hair, is named...Brenna Elisabeth." He answered, showing the group a picture of her.
"Awww, a little girl, and she choose the name I liked. That's so cool." Chloe retorted.
"Well, Chloe, Lois and I both liked the name, so thank you for that."
"You're welcome; now, what about Baby B?"
"Well, he and I'll say that again, 'he' has a full head of dark brown hair. We named him Brighton James."
"Awww, that's the name I told her about." Lana stated lightly, as she glanced at his picture. "That's so sweet."
"Lois and I decided the godparents of the twins also. Chloe, you and Clark are gonna be the godparents of Brenna, and Lana, you and Lex are gonna be the godparents of Brighton."
"Thanks, Brian, that's really nice of you to let me into your children's lives." Lex responded, shaking the man's hand.
"You're welcome, Lex. Clark, what do you think of being a godparent?"
"It makes me happy and it makes me want to have kids." He answered, knowing that statement would be coming true soon.
"One of these days, you and Lex are gonna get that gift from someone. You two are destined to be parents, I can feel it and so can Lois. That's why we choose you two as godparents."
"Thanks, Brian; that means a lot."
Tears began to form in Clark's eyes, knowing that it was true. He and Lex would soon have their own children, and everyone was going to found out their secret, not knowing what their reactions were going to be.
